Gospel comedian Steffon of BET Network will be featured in a comedy concert to benefit the Sickle Cell Association of Tampa.

The event, sponsored by Doris E. Bailey and the Ladies of Creations, will be at 6 p.m. May 19 at the Clarion Hotel, 2701 E. Fowler Ave.

The event includes local ministries of music, dance, vocals, mime and the spoken word. It is a tribute to mothers and fathers, with a section of tables of portraits of parents to be honored in living tribute or in loving memory. Patrons may buy a candle that will be lit during a ceremony.
